(P-L-24) Safe Combination Lock Servicing and Troubleshooting

            Instructor:        TBA                                                     8 hours

            This course will feature the basics of combination locks as well as a discussion on the different makes and models.  Students will also learn how to disassemble and reassemble combination locks.  They will also learn to change combinations and what numbers should or should not be used.  There will also be hands-on troubleshooting.  When the student leaves this class they should feel confident about changing combinations, proper servicing of the lock and be able to do some troubleshooting. 

Materials students should bring to class: Medium size common and #2 Philips screwdrivers, diagonal pliers and pencil and paper for any notes they want to make.

PRP Study Applications: PRP Section L-24, L-33 and STPRP Section S-00. ALOA members who pay the additional lab fee for the test may take PRP Section L-24 at the end of the class.
