(P-L-12) Tubular Key Lock Servicing

            Instructor:        TBA                                                     8 hours

This class will give the student a comprehensive exposure to the various types of tubular key locks.  Methods for installing, rekeying, key fitting, picking and drilling will be covered. There will be hands–on practice in keying, assembling, disassembling and decoding.  Trouble shooting and repair techniques as well as identification of parts and differences between the various brands will be presented.

Materials to bring to class: Pin Tweezers, dial calipers and small vice grips or pliers.

The information presented will be useful in preparing for PRP Section L-12. ALOA members who pay the additional lab fee for the test may take PRP Section L-12 at the end of the class.
