(P-L-08) High Security Cylinder Servicing

            Instructor:  TBA                                                           8 hours

            This one-day class will present an overview of high security cylinders from around the world.  Different manufacturer’s unique solutions to the design, production, and distribution of high security cylinders; what constitutes “high security” and some of the advantages and disadvantages to each approach will all be discussed.  N. American high security cylinders will also be discussed as a background for comparison and to assist in the preparation for the PRP elective.  No hands-on disassembly will be done, but samples and AV material showing operation and disassembly will be shown.

The information presented will be useful in preparing for PRP section L-08. ALOA members who pay the additional lab fee for the test may take PRP Section L08 at the end of the class.
